Im going to put off the Caddy Wagon again and go for a GranTurismo Convertible. Still looking towards June or July to purchase but I’m confident at this point that a Maserati GT C is exactly what I’m looking for and able to handle without stress . The final selling point was that rear-facing car seats fit in the back while leaving room for an adult up front. That means it’s a keeper and a solid first Italian car (2011+ c onvertibles ).

Make sure it’s the ZF and the Bosch ECU

owning a Maserati sounds like nothing but stress. of the two in my small town, I saw them on a flatbed as often as I saw them on the road. The people that owned (a lawyer and her son) them replaced them with a Focus RS and a S7. and we’re not talking about old ones either, these were models that were maybe 3-4 years old at t he time.

Yes, Yes, YES! Do it! Live the dream and carry the torch! It’ll be my turn to squeal.
Also, get the blue if at all possible. I’ m counting on you.

Hold up now, if you buy one of these I might loose my title as “ owner of the car most likely to bankrupt the driver”. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I’d be sad. On the plus side that 4.7 is a gem I hear!

The GT pulls of f that face well, but it does not transfer over well to the Maserati SUV. I saw one the other day and it was terrifying.

My step brother used to work at a Lexus/Maserati/Alfa dealer, as recently as a month ago, and said the Italian cars were the worst cars he’s ever experienced. Now keep in mind he’s a very proud Italian-American so makes excuses for Italian everything. HE would not take a Maserati if given to him. He drove a Levante once and the bodywork above the rear glass just fell off. A brand new one with less than 20 miles on it, and that wasn’t even unusual for them. The one tech was just like “yeah. They fall apart sometimes.”

What’s your maintenance plan for one of those in Albuquerque, especially s ince the guy who maintained most of the f -cars in NM isn’t around anymore? The f-car owners I know now trailer them up to that guys new location in Colorado Springs for maintenance and repairs. So far as I know, there is only one other person in the state who might have a (very, very expensive) computer that speaks the right dialect of late model Italian.

Get it in winter. It will be priced to sell.
Not that these cars aren’t ever priced to sell....but still. Every dollar you save counts - toward the next repair.

Trust me, it will be blue with the blue dash. I’m still jealous every single day that you have a K900 that’s just my spec! I think it even makes 404 hp on 87 octane too while I'll be lucky to find a GT making 444 hp tops.

It’s a step I need to take since I’m still thinking cheap Aston Martins and Ferraris eventually. I’m extremely into Maserati but I need to be an owner before I can discuss what I love because that's how the internet works.

Not anytime too soon! But I need to be ready for what may happen 2-3-4 years from now. I dont want to let go of my dreams , I want to share them!

I’m waiting until closer to purchase because I may not be living in New Mexico . I’m only in Albuquerque on my days off from work. I’ll know around April and that will give me a month or three (or more) to work the rest out.

I don't have enough cylinders, tech, or quality materials to match your gamble. You are more than safe!

I just died at “quality materials”
